Chinese Auto Investments Into the U.S.: Still Hot Under the Trump Administration?

Hear from Two of the Leading Chinese Automakers

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

7:30 to 8:15 a.m. – Networking Breakfast

8:15 to 11:00 a.m. – Presentations and Q&A

Will China’s red-hot investments into America continue its pace with President Donald Trump now in charge?

Chinese companies invested a stunning $54 billion in the U.S. in 2016, more than quadrupling the $12 billon the year before.  The auto industry is a key arena for Chinese investment, featuring acquisitions, new entrants and R&D Centers.

Learn about key players including Faraday Future and NextEV and BYD in electrics; Baidu and BAIC in autonomous drive technologies; and Fuyao Glass and Yanfeng in components.

Guangzhou Auto, Geely and BYD aim for exports to the U.S. starting in 2018.  They will join the scores of other Chinese companies operating under the radar coast to coast.

Join us on Feb. 1 when two Chinese automaker executives will join Michael Dunne to provide a hands-on and up-to-date picture of the future of Chinese automotive activity in North America.

  • Investments in development and production of high-end products by Chinese automakers with a focus on who they key players are.
  • How the Chinese are entering the market including buying U.S. companies outright (e.g. Nexteer, Fisker, A123, Beijing West Industries).
  • Status of how the Chinese are exporting high-end cars to America as tens of thousands of China’s made Volvos, Buicks and Cadillacs are now in U.S. showrooms.
