DESCRIPTION:Lightweighting May Not Be a New Concept\, But It Has Never Been More Critical \nOver the past several years\, the term “lightweighting” has become normal jargon in the auto industry. Lightweighting has become a necessity for OEMs to achieve aggressive fuel efficiency targets which is forcing the industry to react quickly. \nThe efforts to reduce the weight of components extend to nearly every auto supplier\, and the importance of research and development in achieving these gains has never been greater.
