Retail Support & Training Specialist -- JATO Dynamics Ltd

To provide comprehensive pre and post technical training and sales support for JATO Retail Products to internal and external clients. Assist with development and implementation of product support processes and training programs.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • IT – strong working knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), SQL Server, QA, databases, hardware, support and infrastructures. Able to articulate and resolve technical problems remotely or at client sites.
  • Training – able to identify client pre and post sales, training, and other product related requirements. Able to deliver product training and trouble shooting at customer sites or virtual.
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS office product range (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Provide support to JATO’s Global Carspecs customers not only in a technical role but also provide research insight to ensure customers receive maximum value from this vehicle comparison and configuration solution.
  • Identify new business and sales opportunities and be proactive in communicating to sales department and in sales support meetings.  
  •  Build internal and external relationships to add value to our business and promote Voice of Customer.
  •  Must possess a minimum of 2 years of OEM and/or retail dealer sales or customer support experience.
  • Must possess a minimum of 1 year experience working in a retail sales environment.
  • Must possess a minimum of 2 years experience developing and delivering training relevant to the essential functions of this job description.
  • Must possess demonstrated effective presentation skills and public speaking ability
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
  • Must possess demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

The Chief Economist will partner with the executive committee by providing insights that shape the competitive strategy for the company. Position Responsibilities

Specifications Researcher

JATO DYNAMICS is currently seeking a Specifications Researcher to collect, record, and audit detailed vehicle data as a part of its proprietary research operations in the U.S. automotive market.

Under the direction of the Specifications Research Area Manager, the position will primarily carry out activities specific to researching all aspects of vehicle research using JATO software. The candidate will identify, interpret, and record data on specific vehicles consistently while maintaining the highest standards for accuracy. The researcher will be required to be proactive and dedicated in completing research to meet tight deadlines in order to achieve JATO’s timeliness objectives.

The candidate will also be responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with sources and customers. The researcher will work with customers to solve data-related issues as well as support the JATO NA sales team at customer engagements.

 

Position Requirements

  • A bachelors’ degree is required for the position.
  • The candidate must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work autonomously to meet the required research workload. 
  • The candidate must be computer proficient (Windows, Outlook, Office and Internet is essential). Training will be provided for internal systems.
  • This person must have experience with or be willing to quickly learn the following: data methodologies, vehicle research, quality assurance practices, vehicle sales data.
  • Suitable candidates must have the ability to focus on detailed information as well as analytical skills to interpret additional, relevant information and ensure the content coded is accurate. 

 

Preferred Candidate Requirements 

  • Experience in data operations and information acquisition in the automotive industry.
  • Previous automotive experience or training in the automotive area either in retailing or at manufacturer level is preferred. 
  • Knowledge and/or experience working with vehicles including an understanding of specific components or specifications

Manager, North America Sales Forecast

LMC Automotive is seeking a Manager of light vehicle sales forecasts for the North American region with analytical responsibility for the detailed demand forecast for the US, Canada and Mexico. This position will allow the right candidate the ability to be part of a dynamic and analytical team and contribute to LMC Automotive’s position as an industry leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Research and analysis of North American light vehicle demand, including economic variables, country-level toplines, vehicle segments and model-level volumes, leveraging unique knowledge and expertise to enhance forecast and prospective of the markets.
    • Proactively gather and analyze automotive industry competitive intelligence utilizing both primary and secondary research, focusing on vehicle life cycle information, for the North American region as well as leveraging global intelligence from LMC analysts in international markets.
    • Provide written analysis and insight to support forecast and specific segment, brand and/or model rationale.
    • Interact closely with the North American Vehicle Production forecast and team, as well as the global analytical group, to balance volume assumptions and intelligence, ensuring consistency within the region and across the world with demand and supply.
    • Ensure that all forecasts and services responsible for are produced and maintained at the highest level of quality and delivered on time in accordance with the LMC Automotive publication schedule.
    • Support and interact with LMC Automotive clients, including completing data requests, answering forecast-related questions, intelligence sharing and presenting market trends.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably economics, finance or equivalent industry experience.
    • Passion for the automotive industry with demonstrable interest in vehicle analysis.
    • Five years automotive industry experience and a minimum of three years automotive volume forecasting knowledge or experience.
    • Initiative based, personally driven performer; must possess strong communication skills and be team oriented.
    • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
    • Solid ability to problem-solve and flexibility to adapt to a changing market.
    • Proficiency in complete Microsoft Suite: with expertise in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Experience with statistical analysis software, such as EViews is strongly preferred.

Senior Analyst, Americas Powertrain Forecast

LMC Automotive is seeking a Senior Analyst, Americas Powertrain Forecast for our Troy, MI office working within our global powertrain team assisting in the Americas region in our growing powertrain forecasting business. This position will allow the right candidate the ability to be part of a dynamic and analytical team, utilizing past experience to contribute to LMC Automotive’s position as an industry leader.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Assist in research and analyze North and South American powertrain trends, including engine and transmission specs and fitment to vehicles, Hybrid and Electric vehicle forecasts, powertrain technology and government regulations – provide input to Powertrain Lead and Senior Management, utilizing and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
    • Proactively gather and evaluate powertrain competitive intelligence utilizing both primary and secondary research, focusing on engine and transmission details, specifications and new technology introductions.
    • Interact closely with the Global Powertrain forecast and analytical team as well as the Production forecast team to balance assumptions and intelligence, ensuring consistency within North and South America and across the world.
    • Assist in written analysis and insight to support Americas Powertrain forecasts, including engine/transmission volume rationale, alternative powertrain technology and specific fitment timings.
    • Ensure that all Powertrain forecasts and services responsible for are produced and maintained at the highest level of quality and delivered on time in accordance with the LMC Automotive publication schedule.
    • Support and interact with LMC Automotive clients, including completing data requests, answering forecast-related questions, intelligence networking/sharing and the presentation of LMC’s forecast and powertrain trends.
